What we hold, and why.
Last updated 26 August 2026. Lintel is a technology consulting practice. This page covers the public website and ordinary email. A written engagement can add stricter rules; those sit in that engagement, not here.
Who we are
The practice is run from the United Arab Emirates and works with people worldwide. Write to hello@lintelworld.com.
What we collect
If you write to that address, or use the contact form (it opens your own mail app), we receive what you choose to send. That is usually a name, an email address, and a description of the problem.
If we work together, you may send us systems information, credentials, files, or personal data that already lives in your product. We treat that as client material, not marketing data.
This site does not run advertising cookies or third-party analytics. The browser may store a service worker so the site can be installed. That is not used to identify you.
Why we use it
To reply. To decide whether we can take the work. To do the work if we do. To keep a professional record. We do not sell information. We do not pass it to marketers. We do not use it to build a mailing list unless you ask to be written to.
Who else sees it
Email and files sit with the providers we use to run mail and, if needed, a document store. Hosting for this site may be in more than one country. We do not give client material to a third party except a specialist we have told you about, or when the law requires it.
How long
Correspondence is kept while it is useful for the conversation, and then as a professional record for a reasonable period (typically up to seven years for paid work). You can ask us to delete what we still hold, unless we must keep it for law, dispute, or the engagement.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask what we hold, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@lintelworld.com. If you have rights under the law of your country (including the GDPR if it applies to you), this page does not take them away. We do not have a named data-protection officer. The same inbox is the contact.
Children
This site is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Law
UAE law applies to how we handle this information as a practice, without limiting rights you may have where you live.
